Mr. Butac obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2024 and was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence. He served as a Member of the Student Editorial Board of the Philippine Law Journal for Volume 96 and was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather, the school’s Honor Society.

He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2019 and was inducted into the International Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in the Social Sciences.

During his time in law school, Mr. Butac, served as an executive assistant to a Commissioner of the Civil Service Commission and as a legal assistant for a financial technology start-up.

Mr. Butac was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2025.
