Professional Background
Ms. Dy is a Senior Associate of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department.
Khristine focuses her practice on patent prosecution and patent opinions. She is a registered patent attorney with the Philippine Intellectual Property Office. She placed first in the 2008 Patent Agent Qualifying Examination (“PAQE”) for Chemistry administered by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (“IPO”) in cooperation with the European Patent Office. She is likewise an accredited tutor and lecturer of the IPO for the PAQE. Ms. Dy has also attended the Japan Patent Office Intellectual Property Rights Training Course for IP Protection Lawyers in Tokyo, Japan.
Khristine is also involved in the Firm’s licensing, client trademark portfolio management, and intellectual property commercialization practice. She regularly coordinates with foreign counsels on clients’ intellectual property requirements here and abroad.
Ms. Dy obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2006 where she graduated with honors and received the Evelio Javier Award for leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering with a minor in Information Technology from the Ateneo de Manila University Loyola Schools in 2002.
She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dy was as a Senior Associate for a top-tiered firm where her practice focused on intellectual property prosecution and litigation and licensing matters.
