Professional Background
Mr. Balisnomo currently heads the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. He specializes in civil, criminal, and tax litigation, as well as appellate practice. Mr. Balisnomo has successfully represented clients in every level of the judiciary and administrative venue.
Mr. Balisnomo also leads our public sector and governance law practice, which deals with litigation on public contracts, governance issues, official conduct, administrative laws and other laws on public officers. Mr. Balisnomo has successfully litigated cases at various venues for the invalidation of governmental actions — from local government issuances and ordinances to legislations enacted by Congress.
Mr. Balisnomo is also active in pro bono and legal aid services and supervises a number of pro bono work of the firm. This includes firm volunteer work for a New York, United States of America- based global human rights organization of lawyers and advocates. He also previously served as Chairperson of the Legal Education Committee, and a Vice Chairperson of the Legal Aid Committee of his local Chapter.
