Professional Background
Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution is the practice and passion of Ms. Lynn. She has a decade of experience as arbitration counsel on varied commercial and construction matters and is an advocate of promoting alternative dispute resolution in the Philippines.
Ms. Lynn has acted as arbitration counsel and advisor for both the government and private sectors, in domestic and international arbitrations, and in ad hoc and institutional arbitrations. Her experience covers diverse fields of commercial arbitration, including commercial contracts, construction and infrastructure, information technology, mining, and energy.
She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb-East Asia Branch), the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), and the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF). In the Philippines, she is an arbitrator accredited with the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR), an arbitrator at the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (PICCR), and a trained arbitrator of Philippine Dispute Resolution Center (PDRCI).
Ms. Lynn is active in initiatives in private dispute resolution. She is a regular lecturer and assessor of the OADR for its arbitration courses and training. She serves as Vice-President for Chapters of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb), as Deputy Secretary-General for External Relations of PICCR, and is a member of the Society of Construction Law Philippines (SCLP).
She regularly connects with arbitration practitioners in the region and keeps abreast of developments in the field by consistently attending Asia Pacific regional arbitration summits, including the annual Regional Arbitration Institute Forum (RAIF), most recently the 2023 RAIF in Bangkok, as well as the 26th ICCA Congress in Hongkong in May 2024. She has recently completed the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Advanced IP Arbitration Training Course [June 2024], World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Mediation and Arbitration Workshop [December 2023] and the WIPO-IPOPHL Summer School on Intellectual Property in Emerging Economies [September 2023]. She has also completed International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Institute Trainings on International Commercial Arbitration (Tokyo, 2016) and International Contracts in (Paris, 2015).
Ms. Lynn has fifteen years of experience as a litigator, handling complex tax litigation, banking litigation, trial advocacy and appellate practice. As member of the Trade Law Group, she has represented and advised local and foreign clients across various industries on trade remedy cases and trade advisory matters, and has appeared as counsel before proceedings in the Department of Trade and Industry and the Tariff Commission. She is also a member of the Banking Litigation Group and Tax Litigation Group.
Ms. Lynn obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines-College of Law in 2008 where she was member of the Order of the Purple Feather Honor Society and received a Citation for Distinguished Performance as Office of Legal Aid Intern. In law school, she was a research associate for the Institute of Judicial Administration of the University of the Philippines Law Center. A registered nurse, Ms. Lynn was a consistent College Scholar at the University of the Philippines-Manila where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2004. She passed the Nursing Licensure Examination in June of the same year.
