Professional Background
Ms. Yazon is an Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, where she handles IP prosecution and litigation, and the enforcement of IP rights. She began her career in the firm’s Litigation Department, where she continues to handle civil, criminal, and family law cases.
Some of the notable matters handled by Ms. Yazon include acting as private prosecutor in criminal cases involving banking law violations by one of the country’s largest savings banks; representing a local cosmetics brand in a trademark cancellation case; successfully enjoining an unauthorized distributor from selling products bearing a well-known mark; securing a favorable outcome in a child visitation case; representing a gas company in a tax refund case; successfully settling a dispute involving mineral extraction; and initiating legal action on behalf of a leading fast-moving consumer goods company against a high-ranking officer for breaching a non-compete agreement.
She has also completed Module I of the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution Accreditation.
Ms. Yazon earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2021. During her time as a law student, she worked as a Research Assistant for the UP Training and Convention Division.
Ms. Yazon graduated cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Economics from UP in 2016 and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi that same year.
She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022 with Exemplary Performance.
