Professional Background

Mr. Valerio focuses on trademark, patent and copyright prosecution for local and foreign corporations and individuals, intellectual property litigation (Inter partes proceedings and cases involving violations of intellectual property rights) and intellectual property rights enforcement. He also assists Filipino corporations such as United Laboratories, Inc., Filinvest Land, Inc., Max’s Corporation and Collins International Trading Corporation in securing their intellectual property rights overseas.

Mr. Valerio obtained his Juris Doctor degree from University of the Philippines (“UP”) College of Law in 2013. He was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence and was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather, UP College of Law’s Honor Society. From 2009 to 2013, he was the recipient of the Juliana R. Ricalde Scholarship and the UP College of Law Class of 2000 Scholarship.

He also obtained his Political Science degree, cum laude, from UP.

He is also a member of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP) and Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).
