The Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) in its Notice dated 15 July 2021, has extended the deadline for corporations, partnerships, associations, and individuals to comply with SEC Memorandum Circular No. 28, Series of 2020 (“MC 28-2020”), without penalty, until 31 August 2021.
MC 28-2020 requires every entity under the jurisdiction and supervision of the SEC to submit valid official and alternate e-mail addresses and cellphone numbers in the form prescribed by the issuance. The submission must be accompanied by an Authorization or Certification of Authorization, which should be signed by the duly authorized representative or the corporate secretary, as the case may be.

Filing of the forms/notices beyond 31 August 2021 will be deemed non-compliant and will be subject to a penalty of PHP10,000.00.
