Atty. Elmar B. Galacio, FCIArb, CFE, Head of CMT’s Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice, was a panelist in the first session of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Manila Conference held on 25 May 2023. Atty. Galacio provided his enriching insights during the engaging discussion in the session entitled A Primer on the Step-by-Step Guide To Starting Your Arbitration – Demystifying The Process.
Established in 1991 as an independent, not-for-profit organisation, SIAC has a proven track record in providing neutral arbitration services to the global business community. CMT was a silver sponsor of the conference attended by around 500 legal practitioners, in-house counsels, arbitrators, students, and members of the academe.
Atty. Galacio has an Oxford Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (DiplCIArb), a Certificate in International Investment Arbitration from the Washington College of Law-American University, and a Certificate in Maritime Disputes and Arbitration from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, London. He is a Member of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Institute of World Business Law and a Member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Hague. He is also a Member of the Asia-Pacific Institute of Experts (APIEX), Singapore and a Member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF).
