Mr. Lu received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2022. While in law school, he served two terms in the Philippine Law Journal— the first as an editor for the 94th Volume, and the second as the chair of the editorial board for the 95th Volume. He was awarded the Vicente V. Mendoza Award for Best Review of Supreme Court Decisions for his Supervised Legal Research entitled “Revisiting Raro: Occupational Diseases, Impossible Conditions, and Social Insurance in Employees’ Compensation.”

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, Minor in Public Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2018. He wrote for the student publication The GUIDON, where he served as the editor for the News and Beyond Loyola sections. His article, “The government hits the books,” was awarded the Raul Locsin Award for Student Journalism for Explanatory Journalism.
