Professional Background
Ms. Nufuar helps clients protect, enforce, and leverage their intellectual property across a wide spectrum of industries. As an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, she focuses on both the prosecution and litigation of copyright, trademark, and patent matters. Her practice spans diverse sectors including media and entertainment, fashion, cosmetics, food and beverage, IT and telecommunications, electronics, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, construction, banking, retail, and education.
With a strong foundation in both legal strategy and IP policy, Ms. Nufuar contributed to the drafting of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Anti-Art Forgery Act of 2001 for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts—demonstrating her commitment to strengthening cultural and creative rights in the Philippines.
She has also deepened her expertise through global training initiatives. She completed the 2024 IP Summer School jointly conducted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, and participated in the WIPO National Workshop on Intellectual Property and Mobile Applications, organized with IPOPHL’s Bureau of Copyright and Related Rights.
Ms. Nufuar earned her Juris Doctor with a specialization in Intellectual Property Law from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from De La Salle University Manila, where she graduated with Honorable Mention in 2016.
She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022.
