Professional Background
Mr. Santos is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Department. His practice is centered on both prosecution and litigation of intellectual property rights, with particular experience in trademark and patent work, including prior art search, patent drafting, patent prosecution in the Philippines.
He also provides strategic legal support to local and international clients, assisting in the preparation of legal opinions and regulatory research to guide the importation, marketing, and commercialization of their products. In addition, Mr. Santos conducts contract reviews related to licensing, technology transfer, and the commercialization of IP rights.
Consistently pursuing advanced training to refine his skills, Mr. Santos has attended the 2023 IP Summer School jointly conducted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO). Most recently, he completed the Patent Agents and Patent Attorneys Training Course organized by the IPO in 2025.
Mr. Santos earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2020, under the Corporate Law Track with a focus on Intellectual Property. He was a merit scholar during his third and fourth years of study. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management, with a minor in English Literature, from the Ateneo de Manila University (2016)—a combination that reflects both critical thinking and strong communication.
