Mr. Castro earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2025, where he was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence. He received the inaugural Ocampo Manalo Valdez & Lim Law Firm Prize for Best Paper in Transportation and Public Utilities Law, as well as the Roberto Sabido Memorial Prize for Best Legal Research Paper for his Supervised Legal Research on the public trust doctrine in water public-private partnerships.
During law school, Mr. Castro served as Chair (Volume 98) and Editor (Volume 96) of the Philippine Law Journal, and as Associate Editor (Volume 48) of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Law Journal. He was a member of the Order of the Purple Feather honor society, served as Political Law Cluster Head for the 2024 UP Law Bar Operations Commission, and was also the recipient of the ACCRA-Violeta Calvo-Drilon Merit Scholarship for Legal Writing during his tenure as PLJ Chair.
Prior to law school, Mr. Castro worked at an infrastructure conglomerate managing public–private partnerships. He earned his B.S. in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2013 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2026.
