Ms. Pedron is involved in brand protection, trademarks and copyright enforcement through civil, administrative and/or criminal prosecution and border control. She also works with trademark owners in domain name disputes and advises clients on issues involving their trademark rights in the face of unregulated parallel importation.
She handles large trademark portfolios in the Philippines and in other jurisdictions.
Driven by a passion for both the arts and the law, Ms. Pedron has also emerged as a trusted advisor for a group of modern Filipino masters and up-and-coming artists seeking to safeguard their creations from infringement and forgery. She has advised artists about the complexities of copyright law, offering strategic advice on how to register their works, license their creations, and pursue legal action against infringers.
Ms. Pedron is a recognized IP expert by different international publications such as Legal 500, Chambers, Managing IP, Who’s Who Legal, and a recipient of Lexology’s Clients’ Choice award.
She has served as President of the Intellectual Property Alumni Association composed of IP practitioners in the Philippines that attended training in Tokyo, as sponsored by the Japan Patent Office and the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation.
Ms. Pedron holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines (“UP”) and has served a lecturer of both IP Law and Civil Law in the colleges/institutes of law in UP, the Far Eastern University, and De La Salle University.
