SEC Issues Guidelines on Preventive Measures Against COVID-19 in the Handling of Records

The Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) issued Memorandum Circular No. 7, Series of 2020, which took effect on 16 March 2020,  advising the public of the adoption of the following procedures at the Electronic Records Management Division, ICTD (“ERMD-ICTD”):

  1. Request for Plain/Authenticated Copy of SEC Documents

Clients may either request for SEC documents online at www.secexpress.com, or call hotline number (02) 8737-8888. The existing Appointment System and Public Kiosk will be temporarily suspended.

  1. Filing/Submission of Reports and/or Other Documents to SEC

Filing or submission of reports and other documents may be done through the SEC Express Nationwide Submission (“SENS”). [1] Alternatively, filing or submission may be done through the Philippine Postal Corp. via registered mail, provided that clients may file through ordinary mail or private courier duly accompanied by an affidavit of service, if registry service is not available in their official place of business. Reports or documents submitted through registered mail shall be considered filed on the date of mailing, while those submitted through ordinary mail or private courier shall be considered filed on the date of actual receipt thereof by the SEC.

All filings at the head office and satellite offices are suspended until further notice.
