Professional Background

Mr. Evangelista is a junior associate with the firm’s Mining and Natural Resources and Energy Departments. Prior to admission to the Philippine Bar, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1997 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines in 2007. Previously an associate at Puyat Jacinto and Santos, his practice experience includes serving as legal counsel for several major power generation companies before the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) as well as representing diverse clients, including international insurance, financial and banking institutions, with varied civil litigation, criminal litigation and appellate concerns. He has likewise represented numerous clients in labor related disputes before the National Labor Relations Commission. He has been a professorial lecturer of remedial law and corporate law at the New Era University College of Law since August 2017.
