Professional Background

Mr. Tamase is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, as well as the Mining and Natural Resources and Energy Departments. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2016, graduating valedictorian and cum laude. In only his second year, Mr. Tamase was appointed Chair of the Philippine Law Journal and presided over the centennial celebrations of Asia’s oldest English-language law review. As a law student, he also served as the Chancellor of the Order of the Purple Feather, the official honor society of the College of Law, competed in the 2015 Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, and held the Violeta Calvo-Drilon, Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines, and Chief Justice Fred Ruiz Castro merit scholarships.

Mr. Tamase graduated with a degree in B.S. Business Economics, magna cum laude, also from the University of the Philippines in 2012, and has been inducted into the international honor societies of Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Kappa Phi.

He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2017 and has been a lecturer in the University of the Philippines College of Law since 2018.
